A Squeeze Page: What is it’s purpose?
A squeeze page is where the money is because the money is in the list. It’s important that a squeeze page be able to collect large amounts of highly-targeted leads.
You’ll find all the facts and tips of having a squeeze page.
A squeeze page to function is to get the email address of that visitor to their site. Hopefully each and every one of them. Having an email that is targeted towards your niche, you have a better chance of getting them to buy something from you. Chances are that the only reason they would put their email in is because they have mutual benefit and are interested.
A squeeze page’s primary concentration is on the form that visitors complete with their email address and name. The way to get the visitors to enter in their email addresses is to offer something free in exchange for the email. Also the squeeze page may offer something that hits the visitor emotionally, like wanting something so bad that they are willing to do anything for it. Site visitors can be lured in through various approaches.
One example is that having links that lead outside the squeeze page will hurt your chances. You don’t want outside links because you want the person to opt-in to a squeeze page. Giving the visitor only 2 options makes it easier for them to choose. Opt-in to your list or “X” out the site. Without giving the option of having an outbound link, it won’t be so hard to click out of it so easily.
There is a lot more to getting someone to leave their email address though. We still haven’t touched on the human psychology part. There are things such as heat maps and eye tracking to see the movement of the eye and where it looks on a new squeeze page. Sounds like a lot of technically babble just to get visitors to opt-in to their list.
Building a big list is important because that’s more people you can market to. A huge list of highly interest people is worth so much more money. Internet marketers hold a much greater chance of success when they have a highly targeted list for getting subscribers to buy their services or products.
Let me give you a quick example of a gardening squeeze page. If it is marketed correctly, a person’s email address could prove to be immeasurable in worth to that marketer. Going back to the previous example, some things that can be marketed include, how to take care of your lawn, grow the best plants. Etc.
I may also be targeted by marketers with more minor niches, like raising fruits and vegetables. Having a small targeted squeeze page will yield greater results then trying to cover everything. Sending out a survey to your list is another great example. Having loyal highly-targeted subscribers is something that you can do to help beef up your business. A squeeze page will help you gather all the emails you need to market to at a later time.
